Featured in the 100 Projects UK CLT book, the Wildernesse Restaurant is a shared dining hall for a retirement community. The vaulted ceiling is structurally supported by a 4x4m grid of columns connected by timber arches. Notably, each of the arches and curved vaulted ceiling, even with their complexity, the panels creating the ceiling are modular panels made from iroko timber cladding. The interior utilises stained timber and the exterior metal skin creates contrast within the surrounding landscape.
