TU Delft and TU Darmstadt
Chair of Façade Structures at TU Darmstadt and the chair of Design of Construction at TU Delft, Knaack teaches and researches building materials and façade systems for the building envelope. Currently focused with research group ‘Bauen mit Papier‘ (BAMP) in Darmstadt working with 3D printing techniques of Cellulose/PP mix and pure cellulose as well as involved in other research projects such as fabrication of paper and its mechanics for architectural applications. Knaack is also author of several well-known references such as Facades: Principles of Construction (2014) and releasing the book Building With Paper (2021) in December.
