NBS Catalogue | Nature-Based Solutions for Urban Resilience

Part of the World Banks Open Knowledge Repository, Felixx Landscape Architecture & Planners developed the Nature-Based catalog which was released at COP26, 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference. Developed a guiding document to support the growing demand for Nature-Based Solutions (NBS). The catalogue investigates methods to mitigate multiple climate-change-related hazards in an urban context.

“Integrating NBS in complex urban settings can be transformational for communities. However, it is not easy and requires the right knowledge and tools at the right time. The NBS catalogue with its strong landscape architecture designs is such a tool that can bring inspiration, examples and implementation guidance for cities globally”

Brenden Jongman, GFDRR, World Bank
From the NBS Cataloge: Suitable NBS can be considered dependent on the characteristics of the city such as the hydrological conditions. Different types of cities based on their location in the river basin (World Bank, 2021)
