Considered to be the most important protagonist of innovation in wood construction, Blumer has collaborated with architects like Shigeru Ban and Daniel Libeskind. As a classically trained Swiss carpenter and civil engineer at ETH Zurich, Blumer has contributed to the timber construction industry through the development of innovative wood forms. Through the founding of Création Holz consulting company, he is now dedicated to creative timber solutions for building technology systems as well as curved timber beam geometries.
