This two-day event will explore all scales of timber in architecture, from the material to products, new construction methods, and buildings. It will bring together a unique gathering of architects, landscapers, urbanists, engineers, researchers, educators, master carpenters, bamboo and mass-timber specialists – all at the forefront of their fields. Among the distinguished lecturers are Prof. Felix Waechter and Prof. Alex de Rijke (chair of timber architecture TU Delft), Richard Maddock from Foster + Partners, Prof. Mario Rinke Rinke and Prof. Stephan Birk along with around 30 other experts from various disciplines.
The Forum will delve into the Anatomy_of_Timber with a wide array of topics ranging from building physics and moisture behavior to robotic fabrication and life cycle assessment. The presentations and discussions will offer insights into everything from detailed craftsmanship to the complexities of large_scale_timber_construction and environmental impact. The program is designed to foster meaningful interactions among participants, with opportunities to meet, discuss, and reflect on the ideas presented during breaks and informal gatherings. Whether you’re interested in the latest advancements in timber design, curious about sustainable and circular building practices, or eager to connect with leading experts across disciplines, this forum promises to be an inspiring and thought-provoking experience—a chance to widen your network and knowledge in the field of Sustainable_Building_with_Timber.
Prepare to be part of an international community dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in timber construction.
